CWR116400-042 was crafted from a Rolex Ref. 116400 Milgauss, circa 2010. An exercise in restoration as much as bespoke design, we returned this piece to its original character.

After removing the case’s black “PVD” finish and restoring the piece’s original brushed and polished steel finish, we applied Cloister’s Mirror Treatment, plating the original copper dial in eighteen-karat white gold. We retained the original white and orange hour markers and applied minimal accenting text in green inspired by the original tinted sapphire Milgauss crystal, deleting all superfluous text in the process. We retained the previously painted “lightning bolt” seconds hand as an homage to work done before us.
