CWR6610-052.5 and CWR6610-053 were crafted from a pair of Rolex Ref. 6610 Explorers, circa 1956 and 1958 respectively.

After these watches’ owners provided them to Cloister to be reimagined, we completed full mechanical overhauls before applying Cloister’s Mirror Treatment, plating the original copper dials in eighteen-karat white gold. We rendered accenting text monochromatically with one piece in white (referencing the original Explorer design) and the other in contrasting black. The luminous fill on the original hands was matched to the white and black accenting text of each watch, respectively. We commissioned matched bespoke Parisian grey suede straps with silver stitching and “Just Orange” calf linings and installed period-correct Rolex tang buckles on each watch.
