CWR1018-087 was crafted from a stainless steel Rolex Ref. 1018, circa 1968.

After sourcing this Rolex Ref. 1018 we completed a mechanical overhaul of the watch alongside a restoration of its original folded-link jubilee bracelet. Inspired by the Ref. 1675 “Root Beer” Rolex GMT we created a brown lacquer and rendered accenting text in white, deleting the lower text but retaining the watch’s original minute track. Finally, we retained the watch’s original handset but painted the seconds hand white, taking inspiration from several of our recent IWC projects. The watch was delivered on its original bracelet with an accompanying “Hermes” saddle leather strap color-matched to the watch’s dial (not pictured).
