Datejust Studies are a series of pieces crafted from Rolex Datejusts of the late 1960s and early 1970s, including Just Orange, the original Cloister Project.

Each Datejust Studies piece begins with a Rolex Datejust provided by the watch’s owner for reimagination. Bespoke primary and accenting colors are hand-mixed, text is rendered in color, deleted, or replaced consistent with each new owner’s preference, indices are retained, replaced, or removed, and all pieces feature either restored original bracelets or bespoke Parisian straps. Variations include “roulette” calendar discs, removal or preservation of “cyclops” magnifying lenses, and occasional use of bespoke sapphire casebacks.
