CWR1500-076

CWR1500-076 was crafted from an eighteen karat yellow gold Rolex Ref. 1500, circa 1972.

After completing a full mechanical overhaul of this midsized Rolex Oyster, we removed the original dial and fabricated a replacement in brass, deleting the date complication. We rendered the dial in green lacquer reminiscent of the Stella dials of the era, and sourced a period-correct set of Rolex indices to replace the originals. We rendered the upper dial text in gold and deleted the lower text, and finished by restoring and reinstalling the watch’s original rivet bracelet and hand-polishing the cyclops lens off the watch’s original crystal.
