CWR1007-065

CWR1007-065 was crafted from a Rolex Ref. 1007, circa 1961.

After this 34mm Rolex Oyster’s owner provided it to Cloister to be reimagined, we completed a full mechanical overhaul of the movement, as well as a cosmetic restoration of the watch’s case and original, 19mm rivet bracelet. We removed the watch’s original dial and fabricated a new dial from stainless steel, which was sanded and brought to a high polish, yielding brilliant mirror effect. The watch’s original “sword” handset was retained, and triangular markers were sourced from an original Rolex dial to match. All text was rendered in white paint, with the original minute track preserved, the lower text deleted, and the upper text scaled by 20% to create a streamlined and bold look.
