CWR116528-052 was crafted from a Rolex Daytona Ref. 116528 in yellow gold, circa 2001.

After this Daytona’s original owner provided it to Cloister to be reimagined, we completed a mechanical overhaul of the watch’s movement before mixing a golden hue for the dial of to complement the tone of the watch’s eighteen karat yellow gold case. The painted finish was executed using a sunburst effect, with contrasting black text. We then removed the majority of the dial’s original printing, taking inspiration from the contemporaneous Rolex “test dial” Daytonas and distilling the watch to its essence: a simple, three-register chronograph. We delivered the watch on its original oyster-link bracelet, restored and tightened to factory specifications.
