CWR1530-066 was crafted from an automatic Rolex Ref. 1530, circa 1976.

We began by completing a full mechanical overhaul of this example of the Rolex Ref. 1530: one of 1,500 original examples of a watch manufactured using an automatic Cal. 1570 movement placed inside the “Oysterquartz” case. We then completed a full cosmetic restoration of the original case and integrated bracelet before filling the watch’s original dial with brass to delete the date and sourcing a Ref. 1530-correct 3 o’clock hour marker. We executed a blue-grey hue for the dial using a vertical brushed paint effect on both the dial and chapter ring. Finally, this watch was delivered with a Cloister-designed monogram.
