CWR1600-062 was crafted from a Rolex Ref. 1600 Datejust, circa 1967.

After this watch’s owner provided it to Cloister to be reimagined, we completed a mechanical overhaul of the movement and cosmetic restoration of the case and selected a grey-blue hue for the watch’s dial. We executed a “date delete” by filling the original dial’s date window with brass and adding an original, period-correct Rolex marker at 3 o’clock. The dial was executed using a vertical brushed, metallic paint finish, with text rendered in the factory convention, minus the word “Datejust.” The watch was delivered on a bespoke, “Tropic” style rubber strap and period-correct Rolex tang buckle.
